Eric P’s Story

I am 19 years old and the oldest to 5 younger sisters and brothers. Less than a month ago, I was the victim of a tragic, violent crime that left me with a bullet in my spine and a broken spinal cord. As a result, I cannot feel anything below my navel or move the lower part of my body. I am the father of a 1 year old little girl named Brielle, and she is the light of my life.

I pray that God allows me to still be an active part in her life after my injury. I plan to strengthen myself so that I can live as independently as possible and help raise her. Through God, all things are possible.
This grant will give me the opportunity to get the help I need so that I can get stronger and hopefully be able to live on my own again with my daughter and her mom. The more therapy I can receive, the better I optimize my body and life at home.
