I am a 36 years young person from Winston Salem who has had a Spinal Cord Injury.
I am a 36 years young person from Winston Salem who has had a Spinal Cord Injury. I came to Charlotte, NC for help battling my demons that stem from an abusive childhood which led to major depressive disorder leading me down the dangerous path to addiction. There are not treatment programs like the ones in Charlotte where I am from. I since overcame with will power and strength. Enduring these plights and struggles have galvanized my spirit and fueled my soul to persevere. Life can be crazy but I cannot and refuse to let my injury/disability to stop me. I have a lot of fight left in my heart to be tenacious and ultimately live a happy, healthy life I believe I so deserve.
This grant will forever change my quality of life
