I went in for what was supposed to be a simple back surgery for a pinched nerve
I went in for what was supposed to be a simple back surgery for a pinched nerve on September 27,2024. I could not feel anything from the waist down. Two weeks later I had another surgery which helped some, but I still cannot walk on my own. It has been a life changing event. My whole life has changed. I lost my job of 16 years. I have currently been receiving therapy which is helping me to walk again. My insurance is now saying I only have 3 therapy visits left. I want to walk again; I need my therapy to try to get back to a normal life. Please consider me for this grant as I will work hard to better myself. Thanks so much.
This grant will allow me to continue with my therapies and improve my function so that I can be present for my children and family. It will allow me to take care of myself and reduce the burden I put on my family. It will allow me to continue working on walking so I can potentially stand or walk down the aisle at my daughter’s wedding. This grant allows me to continue to make progress toward my goals and return to being independent.
