Darren worked as a truck driver for 18 years. He suddenly developed weakness in his legs
Darren worked as a truck driver for 18 years. He suddenly developed weakness in his legs and “that something was just not right”. He wen tto his Primary Care Physician and he was unable to do basic coordination or motor control activities. He was finally given the diagnosis of MS about 2 years later. He had stopped driving s he no longer felt safe. He also has arthritis in his knees and back. He uses a Rollator or wheelchair for mobility. He is now separated and living with a friend in a second floor apartment without an elevator.
This grant will help him to stay strong and increase his endurance for getting out of the apartment and into the community
